Description
This intervention consists of demolishing the entirety of the walls and rebuilding the walls in sections. Hydro-Québec’s intervention is necessary to move and protect the high voltage lines and will be reinstalled once the project is completed.
The walls are rebuilt with the Glen Gery 52D brick pattern which gives a patterned and roughened appearance in order to retain the type of the building’s original brick.
The building includes a Tyvek barrier and one of the 3M self-adhesive membranes. Double arches and a second membrane above with weeping. Lightening in Saint-Marc natural stone as well as a new pale gray metal parapet. The wall is anchored using galvanized anchors and 2-inch screws (BL 312). Doors and windows are to be insulated as needed with sprayed urethane and then caulking with the appropriate color. Once the building is sealed, pressure cleaning and brushing are carried out to remove mortar or residual residue.
